Much more than a sponsoring contract, the relationship between the IMOCA Team TR Racing and the European cybersecurity challenger Advens has strong technical and technological implications. Windows PC, IPads, Wired Ethernet Network, Wifi, Satellite, 4G, Navigation Unit, GPS, Optic Fibers, Solar Panels, Hydrogenerators, Batteries, Ballats, Cameras… are just a few among many components to monitor, check for anomalies, and improve reliability and efficiency. Search of performance is constant whether onboard and inshore : load surveillance, autopilot control, data collecting, analysis tools, sails polars, seastate qualification…During the webinar we will unveil how knowledge on Cybersecurity, Development of Custom Embeded Tools and Data Science is a big strike force at the service of the TR Racing team for more security and innovation in the sailing industry.
Oceane Cambier
Océane graduated in general engineering with a specialization in naval architecture and hydrodynamics. She works within TR-Racing’s R&D teams and is responsible for onboard data processing and performance enhancement. Océane is also involved in the development of onboard software aimed at helping the skipper understand the boat and trim it.
Jérémie Jourdin
Jérémie has been involved in cybersecurity for more than 23 years. After 10+ years as a pentester he switched to the defender side and laid the foundation of the Advens Security Operation Center. He used to be an OWASP instructor and is still engaged in teaching UNIX and network programming in engineer school. As a FreeBSD addict, Jérémie is highly involved in the open-source community.
